I just joined Bowhunting.com so that is why some of these trail trail cam pics are from August and September. I got few questions about this buck. I didn't shoot him this year and to my knowledge none of the neighbors did either so hopefully he makes thought the winter and sticks around. Anyway in pictures 10,11, and 12 there is a point that looks like it comes strait off the outside of the left antler. Is this normal? Could this be the beginning of a drop tine for next year? Also, how old do you all think this buck is. Im betting 2 1/2. One of my hunting buddies said 3 1/2. We are both confident he is not a 1 1/2 year old.

Nice buck! Hope he makes it and you get a shot at him next fall.

Hard to say exactly what he'll look like next year, but I'd guess that that point will show up again. Don't think it'll be a droptine, but it certainly adds character. You should be able to ID him again.

    Good luck :tu:

A nice buck for sure with great potential. I'd guess him to be 2.5 and by the way, welcome to the forums.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

Neat buck. I guess 2.5 also. He could very possibly have that flyer point again this fall. Good luck and Welcome

That is a stud for a 2.5 year old! If you could let him walk till hes four, he'll be a giant! Nice deer with character.

Where are you located? That would have a huge bearing on what age I'd guess for that buck.

I'm In Missouri an hour strait east from Kansas City.
    This deer
    Killedsouthofkuecker.jpg
was killed by a neighbor about a mile and a half from where I hunt and have the trail camera.
Im just guessing but it looks like there is some relation. Both deer have those crabclaws.
