If you're looking for a new daily carrier.....this is about as nice as I've seen. Josh (Gri22) turned me onto the Spyderco line. I somewhat guessed at the size I wanted and ordered.

If you get one of these, proceed with caution. The only thing I can compare it to is a razor.

The clip is great and allows you to carry it with a "tip up" design. Thumb hole makes for easy opening.

Only thing I've cut so far is a dog food bag....lol. But, it'll see lots of action.

    Spyderco Caly 3.5. +/- $100

Does it sharpen fairly easily, and hold an edge? I guess you wouldn't know yet lol. I'm looking for a good knife to carry everyday, since the Gerber Obsidian I currently have is a cheap knife.

What is it about deer hunters and knives? I was cleaning in my "hunting room" the other day and decided to organize my knives and get them all clean and sharp. Found 15 of them! Buck, Schrade, Imperial, custom, etc, etc, CRAZY! If my wife would have walked in right then, she may have used one on me. They have now been "organized" into several different hiding spots again. Never to be together as a collection until I am gone from this earth. lol And the last deer I killed, I had to field dress with a 1 1/2" Gerber pocket knife because, well, I didnt have a hunting knife with me ofcourse. Guess I must need to buy one to keep in the truck?

I think Gri22 has been carrying his same Spyderco for several years now.

And yes....he gets it factory sharp. I've never seen one this sharp. I hope I can maintain it.
