    That is a great buck and the taxidermy work really matches the deer! I would be thrilled to have that mount along with all those others in my man cave. You've had some great success that's for sure, good luck this season!

    Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the comments. I'm proud of him, that's for sure.

    There will be a full episode on my hunt for him in about 4 weeks. I'll share it on here when it airs. I can tell you, it looked painful when he walked but you wouldn't know he had a problem at all when he ran.

    How tall is the ceiling in your cave? I want to do a shoulder mount with a worthy kill eventually, but I always worry about having enough room.

    We poured the basement walls at 9' unfinished. The drop ceiling on that side of the basement is only a few inches from the floor joists, so, about 8'9".

    beautiful looking mount! very unusual, but makes perfect sense, once you hear the story behind it, and the placement is great in your mancave.
