I went to my local shop today to get some help adjusting my rest. (QAD HDX) Great folks and their customer service is great. While looking at my bow the guy says, "Oh, I see you might have a string problem here". He shows me a frayed string on my upper cam. He goes on to say it's a manufacturing defect and Bowtech will replace the string and cam no charge. He also said no charge for the labor either, but we don't have any of those cams, we have to order it. Well I've got 5 days to season open and luckily they had another string and put on a new one. At least this will get me through the archery deer opener until the new cam gets here. Needless to say I learned a valuable lesson about inspecting my bow better. So this is what machining a cam .002 of an inch too narrow will do to the string. 3 broken strands... Thank you Wilderness Archery in Rocklin, CA for saving my back side!!! :tu:

Glad the shop found that, could have been a nasty accident if that string broke on you

Good customer service is invaluable. Glad to hear that your shop is taking good care of you.

How do you like your carbon knight? I'm wondering if these carbon bows are gonna be the wave of the future, or just a very unique niche within our community.

Carbon Knight is a great bow. Really light and shoots awesome. Carbon is lighter and stronger than most materials found so I think it will be used for a long time to come.

Finally got my new cam from Bowtech and the shop installed it. They weren't the quickest to let me know it was in but all it took was about 30 minutes and I walked back out. At least I don't have that to worry about any more.
