I understand... I would have to seriously think hunting in the evening if I knew I couldn't go the next morning for a recovery. Maybe a midnight recovery is in your best interest??? I would have to say the meat will be bad, if any left at all.....

Temps are cool, I dont think you all have much of a coyote problem in NC, so I don't think waiting until noon or so tomorrow is going to make much of a difference.

If he fell twice he is in big trouble. Good luck tomorrow. I hope it doesn't rain overnight.

If your not 100% on the shot I would wait till tomorrow ..even if you can't go till later in the day. Don't want to jump him or push him anymore than you have to.

Temps are not supposed to get out of the 40's here tomorrow, you're not too far away, I think tomorrow afternoon would be fine. If he fell twice though, he's in trouble. Just keep us updated. Good Luck. I'd be prayin' real hard between now and tomorrow.

I'm just speaking from my past experience ..about ten years ago I shot one ..watched him fall like you. Mine was in the morning, waited 8 hours to try and recover him. He jumped and ran ..blood dried up to just specks.. found him a month later:(
Wished I would have waited till the next day ..he would have still been there

I know alot of guys will give you crap for waiting that long but a dead deer today is a dead deer tomorrow. If your uncertain of the shot I would wait. It couldnt hurt to go find your arrow and look at blood tho.

60 yards is quite the poke. Hope all goes well with the recovery.
