I have a Gorilla Kong stand and like it a lot. It doesnt have all the feature's as that one. It's a good sturdy stand and doesn't squeak at all and it well made. Im sure there built the same just without the accesories.

Are the (any) climbing sticks a pain - especially in snow or rain/mud when you have heavier boots on?

I am a little extra careful when I have my pac boots on ans climbing the sticks sure. But I wear huge ice kings and really not to difficult to scale the steps.

I have the Gorilla Kong stand also and I agree with H88 on it. I also have Gorilla's Steel Climbing sticks and they work well. I have no experience with them in snow because well we actually don't see much of it down here.
