For anyone out there using the GoPro for a hunting camera, what housing are you using?

I have had my GoPro for a while and I just got a few new mounts. I use it for all sorts of stuff to film.

I don't like the clear case for hunting. What housings are you guys using? I see the GoPro black case but $60 is crazy! I just got the sportsmans mount but it has rear door mount. Any aftermarket housings besides the official GoPro brand have a removable rear door?

For fun here are a few snowmobile videos I made.

I believe that you can buy skins to go over the housings.

The clear is more an issue for you than animals. But you can paint it or put vinyl on it. I had camo vinyl on ours last year just because I liked how it looked. I peeled it off over winter since it was scratched up as I use mine on my off-road motorcycles too.

I just cut a black piece of paper to put in the front and cut a hole for the lense.

Painters tape and flat black spray paint. Or OD green. Blaze orange...whatever you like.

Great. Thanks guys. I may order the black one for other mounts I use and try painting it then. I was just concerned the paint would peel off on a surface that smooth and being plastic.

Paint the inside or rough the outside with a scotch brite.

I just put camo duct tape on mine. Tear off a couple small pieces and trim with scissors

I just use the clear case that covers the extended battery and has the open back.
