I'm new to editing videos, but I have a 64G SD card full from our Hawaii trip this summer and I would like to edit it. However, I've heard horrible reviews about GoPro editing. is there a good free video editor software or a cheap program to download or purchase? I want to put together a video to share. I would like to add music and comments.

After I figure this out I will start filming my hunts to try my luck with that.

I do all my video editing with Cyberlink Power Director.

It's not free, but well worth it !

The Adobe premiere pro does a good job for fairly cheap.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS Extended (and CC) and also Pinnacle Studio Ultimate. Neither are free and Adobe is expensive unless using CC.

Be careful with adding music to your edits. Copyright laws can get nasty.

Adobe premiere elements 11. Not free but does nice work. around 80 bucks. Any editing software will edit go pro footage, you don't need to use go pro editing software. Heck if your running a mac computer they have free editing software. IMovie. Thats about as basic of an editor as you can get but will still turn out a decent project.

I use Windows Movie Maker. It came free on my laptop. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it does what I need.
