from my trail camera.... looks like a goof ball! I bet he got teased a lot as a kid. Do you guys think its genetics? or was the growth plate damaged this year?
i was thinking 2.5 to 3.5yrs just because all the 1.5 year olds seem to have scrawnier racks..... but I have zero expertise in the subject
Im not sure I would.. As young as that deer is chances are he is not breeding many/any doe. I would let him grow atleast another year while monitoring his development and then make the decision to take him out of the herd or not. Just my .02 cents.. Id like to hear feedback on this subject.
give them a few years it could be from a injury that occured during velvet growth. or you could have a really crazy rack genetic going there either way i would like to see what he blossomed into as a 4yr. old. he could be a freak nasty for sure.
