Well it been a pretty good season so far and just got even better. I've been camping for the last week with my son and a few friends. Good times. With yesterdays rains we packed up camp and were going to head home. I decided to wait the rain storm out, it was going to pass by 5:00 pm and I was in my tree waiting for it to stop. I figured the deer would move early as the rains were pretty heavy at times. About 45 minutes in, I'm glassing the woods and sure enough here comes a big Doe with two little ones in tow. They came to my tree like they were on a string, the Momma got the pass and I decided to take the young Doe, she's gonna be good eating and the Momma will have twins again next year. With Momma under my tree and the BB off to my left, I had the young Doe in front of me broadside at about 18 yards, when I shot the Momma bound off, spooking the young Doe, she turned into my arrow and spine/shoulder shot her and dropped her in her tracks. I got down quickly from my stand to put another one in her to end her suffering. This was the first time I sat in this tree and only the second time hunting this area, I missed a real nice 8 point the evening earlier from a tree about 40 yards away.... but thats another story... :o:o:eek::eek:

Not the best pic but I managed to get this one with my self timer.
