Man, we gotta worry about football first!

    edit*

On a serious note, that video makes him look like another Vince Carter to me, it doesn't show anything other then his dunking ability. Lets see how his defense ability is, and his clutchness.

This man was the real deal in college:

Yeah I know, can you imagine Vince Carter with Point Guard capabilities and unmatched speed?

I see him topping even Derrick Rose, but I guess he could flop as well.

Football just fills the gap until basketball starts, atleast in the Commonwealth.

    This post makes no sense...

Are you trying to say that UNC is some great academic institution?

I think its more of a tradition thing, so much is geared towards NC basketball that they dont really care what the football squad does,

Of course i dont know that much about NC

Notre Dame trumps any and all arguements about high academics preventing a solid football program.:p

A LOT better than UNC or most any ACC school for that matter, in both Football and Academics...I'm kind of missing your point? I was simply stating an academically prestigious school CAN be a solid force in football.

So does the ACC have different academic requirements for their football players than their basketball players?

You keep saying that the reason the ACC can't hang with other conferences in football is because of the academics (which is ridiculous), but yet they dominate basketball every year?

I think I'm going to make a ridiculous claim of my own: The SEC will never dominate in basketball because of their insanely tough academic requirements.

Yeah, you've tried to claim that before....but it hasn't, and doesn't, hold any water. All 6 incoming freshman were cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, and all partook in summer classes at UK, with a combined GPA of 3.25. What more could you look for Academically?

Is 3.5 the mark where you keep your soul or something?

I just find it funny how Duke, UNC, UK, and all other powerhouses go after the exact same players....yet because UK gets them, they sold their soul.

I also don't follow the logic about ACC requirements preventing good athletes away. Are basketball players just naturally more booksmart than football players?

Let's see, google tells me the acceptance rate at UK is 81 percent. Duhhhh, they all sound smart to me. LOL Yup bet your ass there's a different standard. I'm a Dukie, I hate UNC... but their acceptance rate is in line with most of the best. YES, basketball players as a rule are smarter. LOL

I believe it, I don't even think you read the last thing I wrote. His first incoming class started out at a 3.25 GPA. How much better can you realistically expect from athletes?

John Wall was EASILY the most questionable recruit as far as keeping your soul and tradition. His grades, while passing were NOT top of the line, he had a brief run in with the law his senior year as he was caught hanging out in an abandoned house with friends, and he is a near certain lock to NOT graduate. Not only was he recruited by Duke, he was offered a scholarship by Coach K himself. Darned soulless programs!
