Well, after today, I have decided I need some new rain gear, and I want something quality, but keep price in mind, I don't wanna spend $200 bucks on rain gear. It needs to be functional for bowhunting here in warm to chilly weather, and still keep me comfortable in the stand. I just cant stand being flat out soaked at the end of a hunt anymore.

Jeff have you used one of those? I did once, deer looked right up at me when they came buy. Noise as hell, ASAT rain gear rocks, expensive, but it rocks.

Germ, I've used one countless times and never once had a deer look up because of it. I find it no more noisy than rain on the leaves or forest floor and doubt the deer can tell..."Hey that's rain on an umbrella.". :D

Love them, I have two just in case a friend has none.

Agree...the Port-o-Roof has kept me mighty dry on some rainy hunts...to the point that I'll just keep hunting to avoid having to pack out in the rain...well worth the $20.

Well the one time I used one it was loud, maybe it was because it was a 15 dollar one, I don't know. I know it was loud, and that deer looked right at me.

Ok Rob I will try one again, but if it's as noise as they other one, it's going in the same place as my other one, in the river:p:)

definitely noisy to me...but deer have not paid any extra attention to mine...as Rob said, typically plenty of leave on ground and in trees around me making the same noise.

It shouldn't be any noisier than the rain hitting everything else in the woods. I love mine!

Of all the gadgets, gizmos and widgets I've owned over the last 20 years of bowhunting.... this is one item I've never bought and would like to try.

What's the general consensus on the best tree umbrella?

You don't know the brand and/or model? No biggie if you don't... I'll check with Rob.
