Had this guy patterned all week, went and snuck in on the area he's been roosting in the dark. First gobbled on the roost at about 6:05, flew down about 6:10, put on a show and was flopping at 6:20. 25 pounds, 1.25" spurs, 10.25" beard. Sure wish I had the video camera.
Thanks for the kind words guys. I was able to film my dad kill one yesterday. One of the weirdest hunts I've been on with how this gobbler passed by us at 45 yards, circled to 100 yards behind us in the woods, and leaving us out of "normal" position when the shot opportunity comes. Unfortunately I wasn't able to focus on him in the field because my dad had said I was making too much movement trying to get the camera focused so I turned it back to autofocus and it didn't focus on the gobbler. When he's in the woods I was unable to zoom because of how we were setup and I was practically filming over my shoulder, so in order to be positive the turkey was in the frame I had to stay zoomed out. It was another awesome hunt though.
Wish youtube didn't ruin quality. The video actually looks decent on an hd tv. Watch in 1080 and full screen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sU7oEUrwWI
