A friend and I want to go on a big boar hunt. I know Texas is a great place but I live in Indiana and if I'm going to drive that far, it won't be to hunt boars. Anyone know of a good cheap to take a few of these pests out?
I have heard of a few hog being up in the TN/KY area.....I know there are some on Ft. Campbell so I am sure they have some around the area off base...
I live in Illinois and have been wondering the same thing. Texas sounds like the best but I need something closer and cheaper.
Yeah, a little different. Unless you're a land-owner or someone the land-owner gave a permit to, it's illegal to shoot them - period.
Yeah they said that opening public land to hunting hogs only pushes them further and spreads them out.
Ah, Thank you Archie, good question. I want to use a bow and free range. I've seen a couple places here within just a couple hours of my house but they are fenced in, and I'm just not into that.
southcarolinahunts.com never been there (yet - plan on going this spring for turkey) but they claim you can hunt hog about year-round
I can help you achieve your goal. Thats what I am doing in my avatar picture, chasing hogs with dogs. We jump on them and take them out with a knife. I can also put you on them for a bow hunt. I have a guide service- Three Rivers Guide Service. It is located in North Florida, It will be fair chase hog hunting. PM me if you are intrested.
