As some of you know I've been filming hunts for 8 years and a lot of my footage goes to Jeron Detty in Chillicothe. Jeron is a good friend of mine and we hunt several times a year together. I didn't want to post this until I got it cleared but now that the media has it I figured I would share it. Our buddy Jed was flying his chopper and Jeron and Shane were filming in New Mexico for another show allowing them to get capture aerial footage when a gust of wind takes them out. Got the call when they were all in the hospital saying everyone was okay and would be home soon. Speaking from experience (was in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan) that is one scary experience. I was lucky as well as the other pilot to walk away from it, and have had other friends involved in crashes that they walked away from as well. Glad to hear your friend is ok.
Next time start with ***Everyone is ok*** or something along those lines. That's crazy and thank the good Lord that everyone gets to see their families.
That is incredible footage. Good to hear that everyone will be okay. Usually those things don't turn out so well.
That wasn't the outcome when I first read the post title but boy am I glad I was wrong. Hope they have a quick recovery.
