I broke my drought and scored on a turkey last Friday. I couldn't get the gobblers to leave the hens, so when I saw them headed to a bottoms field, I moved and cut them off. 4 gobblers and 9 hens entered the field, 3 gobblers left. I really hate turkey hunting in the rain, but I've had some of my most successful hunts in down pours. Here he is... 20lbs 10 ounces, 10, 1/8th" beard, 1 inch spurs.
Nothing like trying to make a wet turkey look good for a photo! Nice bird. Our season finally comes in this saturday
