hey all, I'm wondering what you use for a fleece layer. I have a good base layer and I'm going to have a good outer come tomorrow night, but I'm looking for a solid fleece layer. My current setup: UA Base layers - light stuff, like 1.0 Scentlok lined pants - great early season and I put on under my outer UA 1/4 zip fleece - I put it on over my base and under my outer Outer - 4 in 1 field and stream parka and bibs Plan: UA Base Layers (Maybe move up a few levels) Fleece pants and top UA 1/4 zip fleece Ridge reaper bibs and jacket The key is the fleece layer which I'm not sure I have. I thought about getting some wader pants and use them for both my layer and when I go waterfowling. Thoughts?
How do you like your UA 1/4 zip? Cabela's had them for $30 at the beginning of October and I ordered one. I still haven't got it because they are on backorder. I'm really excited to get it. I still can't believe the price, they are originally $80.
And for my midlayer I just wear an UA sweatshirt. I think I have the UA Tackle Twill, which is pretty great. I mostly like it because the hood is awesome. Nice and stiff where it doesn't take away my vision. My UA Capture Jacket doesn't have a hood so I need a midlayer that does.
I love my 1/4 zip. I wear it on every hunt. In the early season it works great by itself then put a layer on under when it's in the 50s. I've had my light base and the 1/4 zip in the very high 40s. Also, like I said, I wear it every hunt and it's like brand new.
