Alrighty. I'm actually looking for more of a target bow right now since I am busy and would not have time to bowhunt. There is one on Ebay for $399 that is in nearly perfect condition and comes with a hip quiver, 12 Easton carbon arrows, bow string, finger tab, forearm protector, extra fletching, bow case and a pamphlet on archery. Good buy?

I think you're biting off a little more than you can chew, but that is a nice set. I have that bow case. It's not made anymore and is worth it's weight in gold to a take down bow owner. That is a beautiful set and probably worth the money to the right person. That person might be you. Only you can answer that question. At least you'll pretty well know that everything is matched and ready to shoot. The weight will be good to start learning with. Keep in mind that it is competition quality and the bow will be better than you. I didn't spend that amount of money on a bow until I was 50 years old. And that was a custom made bow made just for me.
Keep us posted on what you do and buy.

I bought a samick sage with 40# limbs when I started last year for 140 or so. Basic, but well built and consistent. I upgraded it to a fast fllite string, then eventually bought 50# limbs for it (70$). I took three red squirrels with it, between 5 and 15 yards.
Then I sprung for a custom takedown recurve on ebay, a Wes Martin droptine, 56# for 150$. Although the seller claimed it was ugly, I think its beautiful, and the draw is more pleasant than the sage. I heart shot my first ever deer with the droptine at just under 20 yards last month! So I effectively have two bows with the option of 40,50, or 56# limbs, and I've spent under 500$ on bows and accessories. Save your money for the best arrows.
