Gonna start coyote hunting I will not need to shoot over 300 yards, is it possible to get a good scope for that under 200$ ?

$200 will put you in the used or close out area. I picked up a real nice Votex on a close out that was just a bit over $200.

Check out Natchez shooting supplies. They've got great wholesale prices on new items, and a lot of refurbs that come with factory warranties. They carry everything from cheapo tascos to 2500$ Swarovski 's. I just got a fox pro for Christmas and the coyote gun I'm getting will be outfitted with a scope from Natchez. They've got the cheapest prices I've found.

I purchased one from Wallmart a few years back. Was an off brand with lighted reticlese. I felt the optics were alright but fogged easy. I noticed though over a year that the gun wouldnt stay consistant with this scope through the zoom range. I just bought the 3.5-10x50 Vortex Diamondback scope and am impressed with the quality and glass. Will be out with it soon!

Hey, I use a bushnell 3-9 by 40 and it works really well, I use it on my 17hmr and my brother has it on his 223, and he has shot rabbits out past 150 metres with it, and has shot bottles out to 300 metres, the scope is also very good in low light. A good way to test if a scope is good in the dark is to look through the scope at something very white, and if it appears creamy it won't do as we'll in low light.

Check out www.samplelist.com. Lots of great slightly used or showroom model glass at really good prices. I've bought multiple scopes from them and have been really happy with all of them. If you buy leupold they don't care if it's used when you bought, they still honor the warranty.
