Does anybody have a cheap ground blind they like? I looked at the gander mountain vital with the long corner windows today, it looked ok to me. I shoot a Mathews feathermax, which is a longer bow. Wondering if anybody knows of a decent cheap blind, or do you get what you pay for?

In terms of the cheaper ground blinds, I've heard good things about the Trekker T-200 blind. It's a copy cat of the proven Ameristep doghouse design except much bigger to accommodate shooting a bow inside which the doghouse really isn't big enough for. I've only seen them at Cabelas for $89.00

I'll second the Barronett. I bought one for turkey season this year, the Big Mike, which is 80" tall so it's definately handy for a longer bow. I gave $129.00 for mine off of an Ebay site, free shipping. So far I am very happy with it.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

This is what I have as well... I think they're closer to $150 these days, but you could probably catch them on sale and get it closer to $100 at some point if you wait and you're careful...

I would say "you do get what you pay" when it comes to blinds, BUT if you take care of them and don't leave them out for extended periods of time you can get an inexpensive blind to last you a long time.

I have found out (the hard way) that no matter what kind you have if you let Mother Nature have her way with them for to long they will not hold up. The sun, wind, snow and ice are the enemy.

The last blind I bought was a "Boondocks" blind from Scheels at the Iowa Deer Classic about 4 years ago and it is still like brand new. It gets used for deer hunting, early and late seasons and turkey hunting. I only paid $150(show special!). Good Luck!

I bought one from the bargain cave for 109.00. They originally go for 159.99, but cabelas has them often for 99.99 in the bargian cave. Just have to keep your eye on thier website.
