You actually like the Wildgame cameras??? I tried them a few years ago and they were complete junk.

Majority on here go for Covert. Youll also see a lot of Stealth, Moultrie and Bushnell.

I absolutely love my Covert cameras. They are cheap, work great, unbelievable battery life and the customer service is step above the rest. Ive also had Bushnell which I liked as well, but a little more expensive.

If you pick any of those four I think you'll be happy with the product.

I started out with cheapo walmart moultries a few years ago and they worked sufficient but only lasted a couple years before causeing trouble. Had a couple cuddebacks were decent but over priced for what they were IMO, they got stolen the post season from my garage at the other house a few miles away. Had a couple of Bushnells were decent value, nothing impressive. Tried a tasco and a Primos, nothing to complain about with them either.

None of them seem to work flawlessly now though after 3 years off...I orderd a ten pack of Moultrie's Game Spy D55IRXT yesterday evening for around $780...we'll see how they do. Wanted the M 80 Xts but were too pricey, still kinda wish I had pulled the trigger on those instead. They were close to $1100 per 10 pack and the Panoramic 150°Game Spy's were over $1500 per ten pack....Panoramic 150's look sweet.

For the money I don't think you can beat a DLC Covert MPE5 or MP6. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I know going into my deal that the moultries aren't the best but I need to cover a lot of ground and three or four cameras won't do it. Ten really isn't enough for the 1500+ acres I need to manage (150 acres per camera). I'd love to have all covert red 40's but I don't want to spend that much money and so far I have not found any multi camera package deals like I found with the moultries. The M-880 moultries have all the same feature as the red 40 except for the LCD screen on camera, I think. I don't think there's much difference in each's 5mp cameras either...quality is probably better with the covert but it boils down to coverage area for me.

Covert Red 40 is a good choice. In a little cheaper model, you might consider the Covert MPE5. I also have a Bushnell Trophycam that I am very satisfied with.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

I have two moultrie D55IRXT cams and I think they're great only thing I don't like are the C batteries other than that I'm very happy with them. I don't think you'll be disappointed, good luck with them.

Good deal, glad to hear the good review. C batts aren't a problem, can buy them either non or rechargable in bulk online. First thought was to buy rechargable lithiums but bulk are harder to find and it'll take 60 at nearly $3 each. Leaning more towards standard alkalines and buying extra as a 120 pack.

Would consider shelling out extra cash for better cams but I have something else in the works for cameras, Pastorjim mentioned buckeyes the other day and I'm in contact with the company on a system currently. May be a next year project and use these cheapies until then.

I also have a bushnell but something shorted out on it and the wildgame camera has better battery life.

I don't see anything wrong with them. My first cameras were like 2mp and flashed. I caught tons of deer, turkey, etc..on those.
