I haven't read it yet but the person who gave it too me said it was amazing. Child 44. I don't know the author.

Otherwise, I did just read Next Generation Leader by Andy Stanley and it was good.

My advise is enjoy nature keep the reading for the off season or night. You can miss an opportunity because you have your nose stuck in a book. It took me a while to realize that if I sit back and enjoy every minute in the field that time goes by quickly and I see more game instead of looking for ways to "pass time" on the stand.

I try not to read on stand due to maybe missing stuff but if I do I've read some of the following (small paper back profile).

    -Tell No One (Harlan Coben)
Coben's books are all small profile paperbacks and all pretty much mystery/suspense style a lot of the times.

    -The Cay
Have had this book with me on stand twice now when I harvested a buck...good luck charm and great quick classic read.

    -Lord of the Rings
Will easily last ya the whole season, small paperback profiles as well.

Jack Reacher series by Lee Child.

Fun books to read but doesn't need deep concentration to stay engaged.

thanks guys. ill have to check these out. I know i should just enjoy the woods, which i do, but i also enjoy reading and with a new house that we are constantly working on and a baby on the way, i just dont have time to relax outside of hunting. Im lucky enough to have a wife that knows i need my time in the woods, so i want to take advantage of that.

Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit is an outstanding read.

For nonfiction, I loved American Sniper, byChris Kyle.. and Lone Survivor, by Marcus Luttrell.

Both are real accounts by Navy SEALs. Awesome stuff! If you read Luttrell's book, finish it quick.. the movie is coming out in a few months. Mark Wahlberg plays Marcus... trailer looks amazing

I'm a big Clancy fan, but right now I'm reading the Scot Harvath series by Brad Thor. I, however, would want to read in the field. That us my time to clear my head and focus on the thrill of tyre hunt.
