Well with a new bow hopefully on the way soon i need to start looking for a rest to accompany my new HHA 5019 sight. Im looking for preferably drop away rest that isn't to hard on the wallet and has to have Miro adjustments. The New NAP Apache seemed to fit the mold quite nicely but i can't seem to find one anywhere and turkey season is fast approaching. Any input is greatly appreciated.......Thanks, Isaac.

Ripcord works great for me, although it will run you around 80 bones or clams or whatever you call them.

I use a Wisker Biscuit. For hunting you can't beat it.

Now i have a question for you biscuit users out there, Can you shoot feathers through a whisker biscuit. Seems like it would tear them up pretty good and also not be to quiet.

Issac, check out the cheapest QAD rest. They run about 45 bucks and are an excellect affordable drop away.

I shot feathers through my old Whisker Biscuit (when I had one) and had no or little problems. I just think it is wayyyyyyy over stated that a WB tears up feathers. Sure eventually they will, but not like some say that 100 arrows and their fletchings are all tore up. Something is not right if that is happening. I always just shot my arrows until right before hunting season and I would get them reflected and it was never a problem.

My personal experience is that I was tearing up my fletchings far more from tight groupings rather than the WB doing the damage.

    Siman,

Maybe wait until the the Apache becomes available and get the sight you really want? I realize you are a little up against a time limit but it sounds like if you buy something else now you are just going to be buying the Apache later anyway.

Last I heard they are supposed to be out in March sometime. A little patience may save you some money in the long run.

    Siman,
I absolutely love my rest, and bought after I seen a friend of mine with it on his bow. Take a serious look at the Vital Gear Kazaway rest. It has the best of both worlds. It holds the arrow and drops. It uses two "pincher" that grag your arrow in the resting position, and as you pull back it raises and opens the jaws. Never have had a single problem with it. Owned it for 4 yrs. Cost-about $110, well worth it.
I've owned about 5 other rests including a WB. This has been the best. Once it's dialed in, done. Never touched it again. and the "pinchers" are replaceable.

I actually have a RH solid limb Vapor Trail LimbDriver rest that is giving me no use right now, if you want it let me know and I can send it to you. It is in perfect shape, might need to get a new string for the rest (depends on how far the rest sits from the limb fork) I love the rest, but with my new bow I am going to try to keep things simple and my entire goal for this bow is "easy and fun to shoot". so I have a Octane Hostage Pro.

For a pure hunting bow, I'd be looking at a Whisker Biscuit, Octane Tripwire, or a Limb Driver........all are good, but the Limb Drive would be my last pick simply because I don't like the thought of that long cord getting caught in brush and messing the rest up somehow. I like the way the Limb Driver works better than any other drop away, but it's just not my number one pick for a hunting bow for simplicity sake.

And I've shot feathers through a biscuit for a couple of years now and they work flawlessly and hold up really well, no issues that I've seen.
