I am taking a half acre of my hunting ground (possibly an acre next year gonna see how it goes) to plant some whitetail institute no plow seed. I have a disc to work the ground im wondering if i shouldnt spray the area with round up or something after i disc to kill any grass that somehow survives or if i would be wasting my time. it also says to get it in by this weekend how bad is it if its done by the 1st of june instead of the middle of may
once you disk or disturb the soil, new weed seeds are brought up. Have you sprayed round up before you plan on disking? If no do so as that will make the disking easier. It would not be a waste of time to spray with round up a little while after you disk on the spot. I would disk it, wait to see what comes up, hit that again with round up and disk again.
I have not sprayed we are running way behind on everything this year due to trying to get any land coming into CRP again this year cleaned up and planted ect. i will definently get everything sprayed this weekend. how long do you recommend to wait to plant after spraying
