    I have looked at them, but never personally handled them. My best advice would be to head over to Bowsite and do a search there. Alot of hardcore backpacking guys.

    One thing I usually consider is the type of weather I will be encountering. If I won't be recieving any rain or snow I will not use a bivy or tent. Simply throw a piece of Tyvek down, my sleeping pad, then my bag. Saves alot of weight. When it comes to shelters i'm more of a tarp guy.
