I have been shooting Beman ICS hunters since I started hunting and this past year had three snap on me when shooting in the backyard. I did some research and have seen tremendous reviews for the Velocity Hunters. The price per dozen is very good and I was wondering if anyone who has them, do you like them and how tough are they?

I use them and I'm very happy with them. I'm not real rough on arrows these days but the good comments on how tough GTs are in general is what got me interested in them. I can say that even though the specs say +/-2 gr mine all measured within .5gr after I cut them to length (29"). I like the inserts and nocks that come with them.

I've been wondering about the durability of these arrows myself.

I shoot Gold Tip Trophy Taker 400 arrows, cut to 27", with Muzzy 100 Grain 3 blades. Fast, very powerful. The arrows are only $50 a dozen as well. They are 8.7g uncut. I've been using them for 2 seasons now for 3D and hunting, don't have to change a thing on my bow when going from one to the other.

what are you doing to snap arrows? I use the ICS camo hunters and have brought them to a dead stop in a tree a few times and bounced a couple of a steel fence post but never had one snap.

I just started using them this year. So far they are great. I understand they say +/- 2gr but honestly they were more like sub 1gr difference in the dozen I bought. Finished arrows turned out all within 1gr with minimal effort.

I ended up buying a dz Velocity Hunters and absolutely love them. They instantly added about 10 fps and are shooting incredibly straight. The real test will come in 3 weeks when season starts here.

I shoot these arrows and they seem to work just fine. Seem durable. I've never shot anything else so I can't compare much.

I shoot the expedition hunters and they're a decent arrow. I shoot a 30 draw length with 125 grain and they fly really nice. I think that almost any arrow these days are durable, it's just what you like. Also I'd like to add that I've never broke a GT arrow since I've been using them. :tu:

I shoot velocity 300's and they are very good quality. Only hazard is me killing them with other arrows.
