So I'm thinking of ditching my regular XT Hunters for these for some extra arrow weight and the smaller diameter of them. For those of you that shoot these, my question is if they fit into a Mathews T-3 or T-5 Quiver with out any issues, with the slightly smaller diameter and all? I really appreciate it guys, thanks in advance!

I would imagine. I know a few guys running Mathews quivers and axis arrows which are smaller than the Kinetics.

Great shafts ....I haven't ever had any issues with them in any quiver....

A word of advise though. The outserts suck. Ditch them and run HITs with a footing and they are nearly bullet proof.

Thanks bud! oh yea, whats so crapy about them? And yea figured since I placed my order on the Solids yesterday I might as well change my arrow set up and step it up a notch. Where can I get the HITs with footing? I'm not too familiar with those. Thanks man I appreciate all your advice through this process of me deciding and switching over to a fix BH!

I think by footing he is referring to an aluminum arrow cut to about 1/2" and slipped over the shaft and glued in place flush with the end of the arrow.

Outserts even the best of them are subject to bending and misalignment. I have not had any luck with them, even high end outserts like fire nocks and Vaps...I like the concept but I can't seem to make them work for me for any length of time. That said I am very picky

Easton make HIT's inserts. You can get the standard aluminum inserts or a brass insert. The brass inserts are 75 grains and can be cut back to 50 grains. I prefer the brass hits myself and mainly use 100 grain BH so between the two I have plenty of weight up front for a high FOC.

Footings. I build them myself by cutting an aluminum shaft. They work great on flush mounted inserts like Easton HIT's as they protect the shaft if you hit something you shouldn't have.. The problem with a flush mounted insert is that the broadhead is flush against the carbon. A footing solves that nicely.
And make arrows like FMJ and Kinetics about indestructible.
Later when I am at a computer rather then my phone I will post a link up that explains the process of building them.

Ahhh, would have never guessed that lol

Oh I see, yea that'd be great thanks a lot! Maybe I'll give it a try, depending on the process. I am very picky as well so I feel ya, but also like the ease of just glueing in some inserts/outserts. Def will check out your link later and see what its all about.

Installing HIT's take no longer then anything else ..just to clarify you don't have to make footings. You can use the HITS in place of the outserts, without the footings and you will be just fine.

    size of what?

oh ok, still makes sense to have it reinforced though. I'm looking at pics on google right now of heads splitting down the shaft of arrows with out footings.

Off the top of my head I think I used 2016's, I built a bunch for .400 Kentics and some FMJ I had at the time. I use them on a Elk hunt and the also a moose hunt.

You can also buy them pre made, maybe at three rivers or Lancaster. It was just as easy to make them my self and I was about to play around with the length I wanted.

A google search for carbon arrow footings turns up more info then we could ever use..along with a couple charts for different size arrows and footing sizes that fit em

Fairly so... I had enough space to use a little two part epoxy on the shaft.I pushed it flush up against an installed broadhead so it was perfectly flush and aligned. I never had to mess with it ever again. Really works slick.

I made mine about an inch, or maybe even .75 I don't recall, I even tapered / beveled the edge so it looked and fit perfect.

I was going to start with .75" How did you bevel your ends? I have been thinking about the best way to go about that. It'll drive me nuts if I don't.
