Does anyone here know where they are manufactured? I was told they moved to Mexico. I emailed them a week or so ago and have received no reply...

Thanks for any insight you might have.

They moved to Mexico a couple years ago if memory serves me correctly. My pro shop guy said they took a dive quality wise at first but they ended up getting most of it figured out. They still have some spine inconsistency issues though. I have dealt with that first hand. And wow is that annoying. Won't be using them this year.

I must have tried them when they were having bad issues...lol. I have only tried them once and they were the worst arrows I have ever shot. One shattered when it hit the target...lol.

I have no issues with GT. I shoot 400 XT velocity, 400 XT kinetics and 300 XT velocity. All are indexed and spine tested and for their price they are as good as any of the others major brands comparing the same price points.

You have to compare apples to apples, for example I also shoot ACC pro hunters in .390, .340 spine and you cant compare 75 dollar a dozen GT xt shafts with 150 ACC shafts....and you shouldn't be-able to as they are twice the money.

Gold Tip makes an excellent arrow across the board, and honestly I dont see a better value in hunting arrow then GT. Thats coming from a guy that been shooting Easton since the late 80's. Gold Tip make a very good product.

Thanks for the information, looks like what I was told was correct. I hadn`t heard they were bought by Bushnell.

I was interested in them because of the screw in weight system for their inserts. I have been making my own but I can only get up to 30gr, and I`d like to up that to 50gr.

Anyone happen to know what thread they use for their weights?

My thoughts. I have had excellent results the past two seasons shooting Goldtip.

    8/32. Same as a fieldtip.

8/32...use a dab of loc tight and you will shoot them for years without an issue.

Thanks again for the information. I`ll remember the loc tite.

Spine consistency is a concern for sure, especially shooting fixed blade broad heads, which I do. From everything I have read, they make a great arrow.

Backcountry, and SLINGnMISS, I wasn`t meaning GT arrows had a spine consistency issue, but that, that is a concern in general. After rereading my post, I see how I could have worded it differently.

    Thanks for the input guys.

When I bought my Heli-m I upgraded to some new arrows. The shop sold Gold Tips and they set me up with the XT Hunter. I have only used them for target shooting so far, but I have been very happy with them. A couple of them have found their way into a fence and they still shoot just fine.
