Oh man, Were going to Kalamazoo early in the AM, can't wait! This is going to be better than opening day!
Well the Kzoo Expo was probably the coolset hunting show I have ever been to! I shot tons of bows and realized I already have one of the best out there! I seriously don't see the hype of these high dollar bows that go thunk when ya shoot em, oh well..... I met some great people and checked out some great gear! I sure do like the Norther Mist Baraga!!!!! Ya ever get a chance you need to go at least once!!!
Well the 2 that didn't impress me at all were the Widows and the Morrisions, they just didn't do it for me at all. I was kinda shocked at the Widow especially, they were all done up with these spider things for string silencers, a total of 4 of them. I figured this is going to be a good shooting bow, wrong, not for me at all, to much of a thunk when shot! The Morrision, once again not for me! Now you want to talk about a sweet bow, look at a ACS one piece longbow, YOWZA!!!!!!! I want one! The bow I was shooting was 42# and just smoked my 600gr arrow with ease! I was VERY impressed, especially at that poundage! I was also impressed with Ron laClairs Shrew Model T, another sweet shooting bow! Now I know that every bow shoots different for each of us, so like I said, they weren't for me!
Oh yeah, another great bow was the FOX Royal Crown, an awesome bow, just a beauty and Ron is a great guy to boot!
Of course.... Steve, I wanted to shoot a couple recurves just to see, never had a chance to bust running around shooting Longbows! I did talk with Brian from Tall Tines, he makes a sweet looking recurve, there is a lot of buzz about his bows, nothing but good! The bow in the second pic is all Bacote and just amazing!
Amazing beauty In them risers!! When I do purchase myself another TD recurve It won't have the finger grooves on the handle but It will have a bigger grip as the ones In your pics. Awesome looking bows there Joe, thanks for posting the pics!!
