2 years ago I had the tru talker call and I thought I was a deer calling god. It seamed like every time I used it I had deer come out. I thought that I had the way I called down to an art. After this year I'm starting to wonder if it was the call and not my calling skill. My brother was up hunting with me and he said that he did not have a call, so I thought that this was a good chance for me to get a new call so I gave him my tru talker. Then I went to gander and bought the flextone buck rage call. I have not had nearly as good of luck every since. One thing that I don't like about the buck rage call is that when its cold out the reed freezes easy and the calls sound all messed up. The tru talker has a wood reed and never froze on me. Not being real happy with my buck rage call I decided to join the brotherhood of the bone collector and bought the bone collector call. The buck call sounds good on this and I did call a couple of deer this year a fork and a six. This call also is very hard to push to get the doe sounds and if I try to do multiple calls and having to hold down so hard on the call it is very hard to keep the same sound out of it each time. It seams like one of them always sounds messed up. I like to use the doe calls the best cause I have had the best luck with that. And try to push the doe call in when its less then 30 out. It's almost impossible and most likely it wont sound right. There might be many great calls out there but I'm not going to waste any more of my money trying to find another great call when the tru talker has proved to me that it is the call for me, and even though I don't have experience with alot of the other calls out there I think it is the best call out there. Unless next season I don't call any deer with it then I'll be shopping again. LOL
When I first saw your post and user name I figured you were switching from the extinguisher deer call from "illusions game calls. I like the true talker, but I don't call a whole lot, good luck in your quest.
