Well I am a young man from Texas, went to college in Oklahoma and now live in what I think is a small piece of heaven in Colorado. I do miss Texas and Ok had some great deer hunting but I neither of those states have elk and I am somewhat infatuated with em. I am fortunate enough to be able to hunt elk about 5 miles from where I live. ( I live on a ranch but the owner has it outfitted long story but cant hunt on it) A neighbor has so graciously allowed me to hunt elk on his place and I have seen elk there alot. I have an either sex tag so I will be completely happy with a cow or a bull. Wish me luck, its kindof a wierd hunting situation where I have to catch the elk coming off of an alfalfa field and move across a ridge so action if any should be fast paced. Cant wait to get out there.

    Thanks Will,
How the heck have you been? Where are you at these days please tell me you are far away from Stillwater...... or Ho-bart. I was in Ok last week and filled me a couple of doe tags up by Elk City, did miss a nice little 8 though, freakin miserable.

Well I saw elk this mornin, only problem is that they went north from the alfalfa field and I needed them to come south, Did get to watch a nice little muley buck check out a band of whitetail does though, wish I had drawn a deer tag. Oh well I got a little tme I just have to make it happen before the 15th, then I am going to be moving to Wy,
