The thread was never started to point out any bad seeds and yes the orange army buys the bulk of licenses and thus revenue. Just envision being 3 miles off a road in public land and meeting up with a guy toting a blackgun, bayonet affixed!
One of my deer rifles is a "black gun"; a .450 Bushmaster (completely legal; and in Indiana one of a few legal rifle rounds.) I had a guy absolutely freak out on me in a public zone parking lot 3 years ago. "You can't f-ing use a f-ing M16 to hunt a g****mn f-ing deer!!!" If he had asked what I was using I would have been more polite, but I didn't appreciate his attitude. As a result, he didn't enjoy hearing what I told him to do to himself. But as far as bayonets go, it's probably one of those "just because you can doesn't mean you should" kind of things.
You're right on both counts. I think it may have started the weekend before judging by the shots I heard 30 minutes before dark.
That's because the other 500,000 drive up to Wisconsin to hunt. . I can't wait I am catching my flight tomorrow morning to spend a week with family at deer camp
Mistertwister68. also know as the luckiest guy in the world. . I want to hunt a 680 ac farm in buffalo co. Good look it is gonna be cold the neighbors will have happy feet pretty early I bet
I woulda loved to witness that conversation. Stuff like that is exactly why we have idiots that want to ban firearms. Have no idea except what it looks like.
Huh? Wisconsin sells 700,000 9 day gun tags(29,000 out of state) and 240,000 archery tags. A chronology of Wisconsin deer hunting from closed seasons to record harvests
This thread just made me laugh. One of our local news stations was telling people to send in pics tomorrow amd they'd be shown in morning. People already started and sure enough ine of them is a guy with what looks like a SKS and a bayonet folded back on it. Too funny
Yeah got my numbers mixed. I think last year was like 630,000 for gun season, but yea insane amount of people. For a lot of them this will be their first and only time in the woods this year. Some true outdoorsmen huh.
i saw on the WI DNR page that last year the number was 453,172 three days before the season opened. You factor the number of out of state hunters and hunters that buy their license in the three days before the season and I bet you get pretty close to 700k
The 2 day a year deer hunter is vital to our sport and the voting booth. Real comedy is standing in Cabelas or Gander tonight.
It was 644k last year only 29,000 out of state. 192 from Cali. The DNR issues a wonderful 30 page report breaking down the entire year including tickets, gunshot accidents, bow/gun sliced every way you want.
