Yes! Take care and use common sense if you need to evacuate. After Katrina hit New Orleans, many people never went back.
From an Austin Kayak post: AN OFFSHORE SHELL BUOY IS REPORTING A 37.4 WAVE HEIGHT AND 94 MPH WIND GUST AT THAT LOCATION. HURRICANE KATRINA WAS 28.4 FT
Count your Blessings ....This isn't China! They have biblical ****e happening there. Snow in the summer, Typhoons s, floods, after floods, after floods, after floods, weird lightening storms....I'm seriously thinking Gods not too hsppy with them...oh I forgot the locusts
Best of luck to those about to get Effed by this storms. Be safe. I was stationed at Ft. Polk LA and would go into texas all the time. Toledo Bend resavoir was my escape. I fished there every weekend for over a year and never caught anything but I didn't care. Stay safe....
Just started raining here. My department has been told to go home at 2 pm so we can get home before the worst of it. Here's to hoping taht traveling over land through Louisiana and south Arkansas weakened it some. I cannot imagine how bad it is on the gulf coast.
One of my dreams almost came true. A reporter who was out in the storm telling everyone to stay inside because it is so dangerous almost got picked off by flying debris. There was another weather clown that was wearing a protective vest and a helmet.
While I love(d) their food, I have not eaten there in quite some time now. we have 2 locations here and another in a neighboring city. The neighboring city's store was shut down for having 53 critical health violations. Fresh chicken sitting on top of spoiled chicken which was on a shelf above fresh produce and dripping onto it, cooler and food temps not below the 40* critical zone and a plethora of others. A couple weeks later one of the two locations here was shut down when a customer found a cockroach frozen inside an ice cube in their drink. Luckily neither of the 2 were the one I went to once or twice a week for lunch, but I wasn't waiting for that 3rd strike or "hat trick" if you will. I'm certain they were all under the same district supervision and the 3rd store wasn't any different.
