Ok so yesterday my friend and I headed down to the river to recover and arrows that we had lost the previous weekend. We were walking through the woods in camo and had our bows because we had killed two coons that last weekend. Anyways we got to the edge of the river and my buddy spotted a strutting tom about 70 yards away on the other side of the water and he had a huge beard let me tell you. We waited to see if he would cross ever but he never did. We are thinking about putting a feeder on the edge jus ton our property to maybe pull some onto there and shoot one. Does anybody have any other tips on how we could kill some of these river gobblers.
Its very hard but I have called a hot tom across a big river before. I bet a food source may get them to come and stay on your side though.
We did have them on our property at the begginning of the year but we had a big problem with tresspassers and believe that is why they aren't there anymore
