I have never filmed any of my hunts but I was curious if anyone here has used a go pro to self film a hunt and if so how did it turn out quality wise. I know its not near what professional cameras can do but I cant spend that kind of money on a camera like that. lol

    Thanks for any input guys!

For close range.. Its as high quality as it possibly gets. But you have no zoom...so you can only do pov

Another option to look at would be the Kodak playsport. It has some zoom and it also has HD recoding. Ill be using it next fall as a 2nd angle on my bow to film my hunts.

Nice, are you going to be self filming or going to have a partner up there in the tree with you?

I will be self filming. I have a canon hf r30 for my main camera though.

As far as a go pro goes your mainly looking at a 2nd angle camera. Which means that that camera is only used for video. The audio is not as good with go pros verses a small video camera. I would recomend a Sony handy cam or a cannon WITH HD VIDEO! With this you will have better audio and video. all you would need is the camera, camera arm, and a sd card. Of course you can buy alot more accessories like a shotgun mic etc. but if you have any questions just ask!
