Anyone have a go pro on their bow? Do they make a mount for it? I have a Kodak play sport on mine now and have it attached w the insane archery mount. It's decent but when it's low light the video is terrible. Will the go pro attach to the insane mount??? I really don't want to spend a fortune but still want to have a decent video.

Go pro should go on insane mount if you get the tripod adapter for the gopro.I have the roll bar mount for the gopro attached to my stabilizer.

I have a small hand held video camera. Its shaped like a smart phone. I just tape it to the end of my stabilizer. Doesn't look so good but it works.

I got a handlebar mount for my gopro and put it through my riser. Makes for a pretty sweet view with the arrow just in it. Not sure how the hero 3 is if you can zoom or not. I have the hero 2 and the thing that would make it better is zoom. I guess it can be done with software after anyway.

I'm going to try to mount it on the insane mount. What do you guys think of its quality of video I think it goes from 5 mp to 12 mp is it worth it to spend the extra $200 on the 12mp?

If I were to be buying one now I'd get the hero 3 just to have the top available options. I haven't looked into it tons cause I'd get sucked in and buy it in addition to my hero 2. The 2 isn't bad, but I know the 3 has some great upgrades. I'd say might as well do it unless tight on budget or something.
If you do post some of your results, I'm curious to see how it works. I took mine out when I set my stand to practice shooting from elevated stand for the first time and to see how the video comes. Without software at 25 yards starts looking pretty far away. I know I haven't messed with settings or hooked it to TV so maybe on netbook just looked that way, but some 3d shooting I did too at 40 yards looked a mile away too. Great quality, just seemed way away. I played with editing for literally 5 min and it can be worked on from there, just thinking the hero 3 may have some better options for zoom or something to start with on the camera itself.

Ya someone else told me that too about the zoom. The Kodak playsport I have now gas the same problem. Awesome video except when you zoom in it gets terrible. So if u want a great picture u have to be zoomed out and a 30 yards view seems a mole away. So I hear ya spend the extra $ and get the hero 3 I'm goin to research it now.

I have a Liquid Image EGO cam, and made a mount out of an L bracket and a couple bolts. Works real slick and cheap!! Just got some big fender washers and can mount it anywhere on the riser.

I ended up getting the hero 3 black go pro with a 32gb card for $310 on Craigslist. Guy never used it looks brand new. Can't wait to figure it out and start using it. Then on to mounting it on my bow. When I do I will post some pics.

Sounds good. Curious to see what you think of it. I've played with my 2 a bit on the Wheeler now bringing bear bait out and more shooting on my bow. Guessing I'll be editing with software a decent amount but it all looks decent. For next year I'm hoping to try some new stuff out and have a camcorder too

I mounted my GoPro on the stabilizer using the handlebar mount. . . Works great!

Before I got the GoPro, I made a mount that goes on the stabilizer so I can use a digital camera or an iPhone/iPod.

When I used the mount for the iPhone/iPod, I recorded a video last year and shot a doe in the neck while she was bedded down! :) . . The homemade mount works great too and doesn't vibrate at all when I shoot my bow!

I would have kept using it, but I wanted a GoPro because you can do so much more with it!

Handlebar mount for the stabilizer is a great idea! I use the head mount now and its does get annoying sometimes. Might have to pick up a handle bar mount!

Handlebar mount works great and doesn't vibrate the GoPro at all.

I have the head-strap mount but I've used it, I'll use it next spring on my pontoon bass fishing!:) . . I bought a lot of mounts at Amazon, and I made several mounts too!

The handlebar mount at Amazon is $13.00 right now.

Do you have the free App for the GoPro ? . . . You can turn the WIFI on the GoPro and use your phone as a remote! . . You can also see a preview on your phone with a App.

The remote for GoPro's is $77.00 at Amazon.
