    Bah!

The Cubs youth is really starting to shine through here in the end. The middle of the lineup isn't hitting for squat and there's far too many defensive mistakes happening. IMO the pressure is finally getting to them. The talent is there, but the experience in the clutch isn't. These guys needs a few more seasons under their belt.

It's not over quite yet but it's also not looking good.

That's what I've been saying all morning. Experience, especially playoff experience, has reared its ugly head in this series. When your 3 and 4 hitters are automatic outs, you generally don't fare too well.

So so so so sick of all my "cubs" fan friends on facebook freaking out and ho-hum attitude. This team has exceeded expectations anyone imagined (guarantee you Theo and Maddon would agree) ahead of schedule. I mean shoot this team's #1 became their #2 pitcher and we've never really truly had a #4 or even a hint of a #5 pitcher....let alone a bullpen which needs visited moving forward.

This team's youth I figured would carry them through Pittsburgh but not St. Louis.....however they shocked even me, which is awesome. This experience is so crucial for Cubs youth to get experience in the Playoffs....I say if we take this next game it is perhaps the biggest growth in that category.

Win or lose this next one though I am excited about the direction of this team....so young, now experienced....

A friend told me about this Saturday night while watching the Cubs game, I couldn't believe it. I would love for them to win it just because of this.

    Try living in IL.

We have to deal with future tax increases to help pay for the preplanned world series win. They already paid for thw celebrations because everyone knows how broke this state is. Money up front or we sell it lower.

This is all joking, kinda, but guaranteed a house bill will be submitted in the spring for fund redispursement to help cover the costs.

By the way, I hate IL and live her

Phew.....the Cubbies had this Cardinals fan worried they might win it this year!

They have a large window right now, they'll be back soon.

huge cardinal fan here, but am also a huge fan of the game. The cubs have some exciting young talent and will be making a run on the post season for a few years to come.

That is what I thought when they Made the playoffs in the late 80's then again in the mid 90's.

I refuse to root for anything related to Chicago, so kinda glad they got swept. Wish it would a been a little better series but looks like they blew they're wad getting by St. Louis and Pitt. They may need to pick up some pitching, looks like Ariata finally just wore down and your not gonna make it far in the post season if your number one guy is spent.

They'll probably go out and sign David Price this offseason.

I think Price is going to want too much money. I bet they will sign someone cheaper to slot in at #3 and have hendricks and hammel at #4 and #5. I am really interested to see what they do though, I am glad we don't need some huge overhaul just need to augment the pitching and let our position players continue to develop.
