what can you say about this guy? Me? I can say we have had some great debates, arguements, and disagreements over the past two years and sometimes he has persuaded me to change my mind on some things, other times it has made my opinions even stronger. he has offered criticizisms and help to me, he calls a spade a spade most times, and we hunt completely different styles and have different reasons to say the least for why we hunt..with all this said, this guy has to get respect from me. why? b/c he has taken on a challenge that I and many of us just simply won't try...traditional hunting...has he been successful at bowhunting in the 4 or so years? you bet your ass he has. and now, he has been successful with the ultimate bow weapon. 2 deer the first week! that is impressive. love or hate him, you have to give him props. here is to you Jeff! congrats on your success!

I will say he gets a lot of crap over "only hunting X amount of years".... But I am willing to bet he has more woods time in those X amount of years than the average bowhunter has in 15-20 years...

Years of experience not a ton.... Hours in the woods.... He has a good amount.

The learning curve in bowhunting can be straighten considerably by stand time, common sense along with the strive to learn and become better...

Big deer herd or not, he is a much better than average bowhunter. There is no denying that.

He's like the Collin Cowherd of BH.com. I always enjoy his posts and responses simply because he backs them up with facts. I don't always agree with everything he says but it makes for good reading.

I pretty much tune out after I hear or read "Rush Limbaugh once said";)

Jeff's been a good deer hunter his entire life, he just did not know it until he turned 40;)

This thread seems like an odd combination of a eulogy and a celebrity roast. :p

A longbow is just a bow that someone ran over and couldn't fix correctly. Everyone knows recurves are the only bows worth shooting.[IMG][IMG]

Jeff, (along with a few others), is one of the guys who I got to be familiar with over on HuntingNet and then followed along with here.

I'd like to be able to sit down and talk deer hunting one day with him- I'm sure I could learn a few things. (From other guys on here as well!)

    Ok here we go

What does Jeff and HCH have in common?
Jeff change BH as fast as HCH change which state he lived in:p

    I'm just saying

Best Jeff moments you can recall.
For me it was his first year and everytime he shot a deer he complain about not having enough flashlight power, LOL It drove me nuts

Don't always agree, pretty outrageous analogies sometimes [ :D ], probably wouldn't know they guy if he walked through the door...

...but he gets it done, that's pretty much the goal of this sport.

I've never met him in person, but from the few conversations I've had with him...I like him. I think most times he is taken the wrong way or people just plain don't like when he calls a spade a spade. I think is early success is great and I wish him more as the season progresses.

If I could describe just what I think about Jeff, I would be deemed a sack rider for sure... BUT I will say, he has been more helpful and influential to me when it comes to hunting than he'll ever know. ;) If it weren't for Jeff, I wouldn't have the Bow I have, stands he's lent me, a future out of state trip, Numerous hunting accessories and a great friend... thanks bud.

Some people just don't know the "real" Jeff.
