GM willing bo buy back Chevy Volts. May recall entire fleet - Germ?????

    I am stunned new tech on cars has some issues, LOL GM willing to make it right, I am still going to buy one, hell might get one cheaper;)

    :-) starting a fire is not just an "issue" its a real reputation killer. I still wish the project the best but this is a big hurdle to overcome imo.

    It's not the first time gm had cars with thermal events;). That's that gm used to call them.

    Interesting. I had to take my company car in for a service call to the dealer two days ago, and I know the sales manager well there... while I was waiting, he put me in a Volt to pass the time and let me take it for a spin; I came away thoroughly impressed. It was the coolest driving experience in a car I've had in a long time... just something about punching the gas pedal, taking off, and hearing nothing but the tires rolling on the asphalt.

    Pricey, but neat.

    Weird...I work for GM at the Arlington, Tx. plant and this is the very first I've heard of this.

    After looking more into it, I don't see the big deal. Rarely a vehicle is made by any manufacturer that doesn't have some problem. Most of the time it gets swept under the rug. I see GM being very pro active on a isolated issue.
