Just made up some Gold Tip Pro Hunter's and used Goat Tuff on the inserts. Pulled the only arrow I shot out of a Rineheart 18-1 target and the insert stayed in the target. This arrow dried for two days before being shot and was shot 3 times. Any suggestions on a good glue for the inserts or one that will work equally as well on vanes and inserts?

Well try not to laugh but I use JB Weld and have not had a insert pull out since I started using it. Keep in mind though I also rough up the inside of the shaft and clean the insert/shaft with acetone. Acetone works the best in my opinion.

My only guess is that the shaft wasn't properly cleaned first, with acetone. I have put GoatTuff on easily 10,000+ inserts and haven't had more than a few here and there slip out.

Nope, they wern't, I just ruffed them up with a burr tool. I have acetone too but didn't use it. I guess I'll just redo the inserts.

Gorilla glue makes a new "super glue" that is cheaper than anything else I've used and holds "until the cows come home". I've used it on vanes and on feathers and there's no way to pull them off once the glue sets up.(about 2 minutes)

I just started fletching feathers this year and used the Gorilla Glue Super Glue and the feathers have held for months. It is strong.

There are a lot of glues that work very well. I personally use a slow set epoxy, but...............

    The key is proper cleaning.

I use Loctite Pizm 454. Its a super glue gel type adhesive. There is nothing I have found that is as strong and reliable as this stuff.
