I hear ya. Brutal winter so far. It just keeps on dumping snow here. Getting blasted with lake effect snow from good ole Lake Ontario everyday. Not good when you measure in feet instead of inches. Been in the single digits and below zero too for awhile now. nothing global or warming about it lol.
LOL How much we talkin pal? I sure hope you were able to actually find a snow shovel down there I couldnt imagine shoveling with small regular shovel.
Tell me about TJ. I've went through a pile of wood already this year In my wood stove, getting really sick of this below zero BS!!!
When discussing the realities of global warming, there's often a failure to understand the difference between weather and climate. When looking at climate, you need to look at long term trends over multiple season cycles. When looking at weather, just go look outside. The theory of global warming does not state that all temperatures are rising uniformly or that there won't continue to be cold weather - even record breaking cold weather like we're experiencing right now in most of the Midwest and New England area.
The fact is, whether Global Warming is real or not, I enjoy hunting healthy wildlife. When I was at the bar talking to a fellow trucker and he told me he used to dump his spent oil into his neighboring creek, I wanted punch his lights out. Keep America green!!!! So we can keep hunting!!!!
While I admit that the Sun is one of the primary catalysts for climate, it is not the primary catalyst. That would be ocean temperatures, and the Sun does not control ocean temperatures.
This will be my last post in this thread as it is not bow hunting related, (Sorry all) but if the the largest energy/heat sources in our galaxy isn't controlling the ocean temperatures and climate on this tiny planet then what/who is? If you are interested in global cooling check out the King Dude. He has a 3 part essay on the topic. http://www.mikechurch.com/joomla/daily-feature-archives/global-cooling-for-dummies-pt.-i.html Thanks
Yeah. I agree. I also think the Earth's definition of a "cycle" and some of the studies I've seen published "might" just differ. In the lengthy chronology of our planet, I think 100yrs is equivalent to a heartbeat.
Agreed. I think if the history of the earth were to be a year, man's time on earth would be approximately 2 minutes....sooo, yea :D
I'm not sure. But I know one basic fact, and that is the fact that it takes much less energy for water to heat/cool air, than for air to heat/cool water. Maybe it's coming from the Earth's core?
