There is an older man at work that I have slowly become good friends with over the last 3 years. He used to not talk with anyone. I sit and talk with him every now and then and he really has begun to open up to me over the past year or so. He is ex-military, ex-cia, sniper, traditional martial arts guy.......He has really opened up to me and told me of some unique and crazy stories. Things that he has done and seen are mind boggling. He has protected our country from many acts of evil in many countries. Just for instance, he was one of the last people on the US Embassy during the fall of Saigon...shooting VC with a sniper rifle to protect Marines.

Something just built up in me when I heard a song this morning. He has told me twice in the past 2 months that, "my body just really hurts", or " I really want to go back to Asia to visit some old friends that never made it home but my body just won't let me...I don't know how much time I have left". Then he just continues on with his stories and advice. He is one of the lowest people in our building in terms of authority, but my god this guy has such a wealth of knowledge that I just talk and learn from this man. Noone would know this guy is as deadly yet respectful as they come, even for a man in his mid 60's.

Honor those guys/gals that have protected our great country....just our respect and thanks mean a lot to them. In fact, honor all those great men and women who stick up for their principles with honor and pride.
