Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm thrilled to death and really feel blessed to have taken him. I may take a bigger buck in my lifetime but I can't imagine any being more special than ole Gimp. I'm doing a half body mount on him...around his ribcage forward. It's going to look like he's walking out of the brush in the corner of the room. I have to feature his foot in the mount. His rack was awesome and I love it, but his foot was the coolest thing for me. The day I had the encounter with him bowhunting over the decoy, when he stopped at 60 yards to survey the scene, he picked his injured foot slightly off the ground, almost like a pointer. That's the pose we're doing. I can't wait to get it back! Anyways, thanks again for checking him out.
Me too. I'll post it up as soon as I get it. It'll probably be the 2015 bow season before I get it though.
Bruce does excellent work. I've been taking everything to Mike Goodwin for the last couple of years. I've been extremely happy with everything that he's done for us so far. I'm really looking forward to getting my quad beard gobbler back in January.
