Every year I put together gift "baskets" for land owners that allow me to hunt. I have found that these go a long ways. Each year I try to do something a little different.

Previous years the contents have included:

    Fruit
    Jam
    Deer meat
    Deer sausage
    Cheese(s) & Crackers
    Baked goods (Cookies, fudge, etc)
    Work gloves
    Flashlights
    Pocket knives
    Visa Gift Cards
    Candles
    Coffee

Does anyone else do this? I am looking for more ideas! How about gifts for "Lady of the house". Typically a happy wife makes for a happy husband! :)

I usually do Xmas cards and deer meat if they want it. I'll buy certain people 30 packs people love free beer.

I do gift cards to their favorite restaurants. Homemade Ven jerky and summer sausage. Good cheese and for some a bottle of good wine. The biggest pleaser is when I show up with Morels! Man they love it!
Of course I offer my services year round regardless of what they may need

Ha! Unfortunately for what ever the reason may be I never get that chance! Getting your foot in the door is the hard part. Once that happens I do everything I can to make sure it remains open!

The land owner of the property I hunt on is my uncle, so my mom just makes cookies we bring to him every once in a while. We also take a little extra care of him at Christmas time.

for the lady of the house, go with bath and body works gift cards. It's really a win for the guy too.

Racine Kringle (if you don't know what Kringle is you're missing out, google it), gift certificate to favorite restaurant, and a 30 pack of Miller. Plus keeping an eye on things for them, posting the property, and running off trespassers.

I'm building a nice gate for a guy that let's me hunt, I'm tired of his shackled together gates  Last year I made him come help me load up a doe into my truck, then gave him 2 beers :tu:

The other guy that let's me hunt, I have him a whole doe to make into jerky.

Been hunting the same 15 acres for about 10 years now. The lady that owns it works with my wife. The first year I bought them a gift card to their favorite restaurant, and put it in a nice Christmas card. She was ticked that I would even think of doing something like this! She told me that if I didnt keep it for myself, I would never hunt there again... Needless to say, the wife and I had a nice dinner.

I have been giving one landowner a Ham for Christmas along with some Busch Lite. His little 30 acres is my honey hole.

I go to ND every fall to hunt ducks(BIG waterfowl junkie)and we take pounds and pounds of whited out catfish fillets and shrimp. That's something they never get up there and they love it. And of course a Cabelas Christmas basket is sent up for the holidays.

Usually drop off some venison peppersticks. They really seem to enjoy them. I've also used the gift packs of Hickory Farms, See's Candy and nuts, and occasionally a jug of my home made schnapps. They both raise beef cattle so I couldn't really do the holiday ham or turkey idea. ;)

Needed some guidlines about gift baskets

    Hello,
How are you every member?I am Steve Burker.I am a new member this site.I have not bee able to share gift baskets for nearly 4 weeks now. Is it something that I have clicked to remove the ability to do this, or is there a glitch somewhere. Please advise what I need to do to correct this.
