Michael, no lie... I had a customer this week start telling about this guy who was taking a pic of an elk and in the background there was this... :D I finished his story for him... "a mountain lion?" "Yeah, how'd you know?" :D
Greg, it is amazing the amount of things you already know about because of your passion and this here forum. I see and hear things all the time that I just leave alone because you guys already proved/disproved it.
I checked their website and they are current on their kills for this season. This deer is not on the website. I looked up the price of what this deer would have costed.....$ 25,000.00. I don't know too many college students that could drop that on a deer. I pretty much feel that I know the story now. I'm flying in on Wed. from Dallas to start my 10 days of bowhunting. One of those days I am making the drive to hopefully see this deer in person. Normally I wouldn't care, but now that I started the story, I want to finish it. The only thing I find odd is that a deer like this was killed over a week ago and it hasn't blown up the web yet.
Not at all trying to bash the kid or say it was a fake, because Id love to give him the benefit of the doubt on such an AWESOME buck...BUT... I heard that he said it wasnt real on his Facebook page. Possibly why theyre cutting the video short when he starts saying his name? Again, I dont know the kid, nore have I seen anything but this video, but just contributing to the gossip!

Ok I now have my doubts! 2 Lunger it is NOT your fault. I also get excited when big deer are killed also. It is part of all of our blood lines! Now, if I killed the buck one of the first places the picture will be is on my facebook page! I did not nor do I see anything about this deer on that facebook page. Big deer are hard to keep quiet. Once the word gets passed it keeps going. One of my buddies killed a 200+ buck and now is doing commercials on the Outdoor Channel. I just find it hard to believe as the clear pictures have not popped up. If it is true I say that is great. I guess we will tell in time!
