So, when a deer is in front of it does it look at itself in the reflection? Think it's another deer? Do some grooming? How does that work?
The reflective surface is angled downward. Unless the deer is lying on the ground next to the blind it won't see its reflection.
I'm not sure what they might think, I would guess that they cannot recognize themselves, similar to dogs. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I made a ghost blind out of 1/4" sub flooring material. Then I glued the window tint/mirror on it, and used piano hinges. I made it 3 years ago and never used it. I just didn't have confidence in it. I tried it this week and I love it now! I had several deer within 20 yards and didn't see me. I had two 1 1/2 year old does at 15 yards wide open...looked right at me and went right back to eating. I am sold!!!! I also brush it in and stack brush up to the mirror to really camo in. I like how easy it is to set up and carry through the woods. (Mom made me back pack straps for it).
I know this is old, but I had a doe walk right in front of it, and she must of saw herself because she bolted. She eventually stopped and came back. I felt a little bad, because she probably had no clue what was going on. But overall, I like it. Much easier to use than a pop up.
