I use ladder stands or a conventional aluminum ladder and hang on stand. This year I have a good distance of 4-5' tall grass and wild flowers to get through. First photo is right outside my back door and my stands location is furthest trees way out there. I have a creek to cross but can get across with the quad. This morning I used a section of wide ladder stand ladder and built a rack to carry the ladder sections as well as the top piece up above most of the flowers and grass. I may have to brace it yet but not going to be carrying much for weight as long as I take it easy.

The land owner gave me the hunting lease and travel rights to this 160A but being it is in a govt. program I have to be careful not to make any definite paths through the area. This is going to be a challenge all season.
