Sight: Black Gold Ascent, w/ 4" dovetail mount. Standard comes in 1,3 or 5 pin, but you can custome order a 4 pin just as easy.

I have the 3 pin which will be set at 20, 30 & 40 yards. Then I'll use my 40 and the wheel to reach out to 80 or 100 :tu:

What type of hunting will you be doing? How far do you want to shoot? Those clues would help some more... Here's what I would do for the meantime...

    Black gold Rush $115

    Tightspot Quiver $140

    B Stinger Sport Hunter $65

All shots will be inside 40 yds ... A 3 pin will prolly work aswell. Just used whitetail hunting and practice. I have a 5 pin right now I don't like how close the pins are I like the ones with some separation easier to pick up and lock on. Anyone have experience with the IQ Sights ?

Fitz, you got a pic of the sight on your bow ? What's the advantage of the dovetail mount?

With the dovetail mount you get 3rd axis adjustablility, plus if need be, you can quickly pull your sight off (if it didn't fit in your case or something).

    Here's a couple pics:

If you're not too particular about being new, and willing to do some searching, the Spot Hogg Hogg-It and Hunter models are both top of the line sights. They both also offer 3rd axis adjustment. IMO there are very few on the market as robust as the Spot Hogg sights. Sword makes good stuff, so does Black Gold in that price range.

For a quiver, I don't like one on my bow, and instead opted for one on my backpack. It's one less thing to monkey with when I get to the stand. The last couple bow mounted that I looked at and really liked were the G5 Mag quiver and the Tight Spot. The G5 is nice and robust, and does a good job holding arrows, the downside is that it is heavy. The Tight Spot sits close to the bow, and is lightweight. It is spendy though.

For a stabilizer - you really need to go and test drive some to find what really works well on your bow. It is not a fashion accessory, and is far too often thought of as being one to many archers. B-Stinger mentioned above is a good one, also take a look at the Stokerized, Fuse, Octane, and Doinker offerings. Go and try them on your bow, see which ones help with pin float and forward balance, shock reduction is an added bonus once you address the other two.

Good luck and have fun finding new goodies for your bow!

As it turns out I am prolly gonna get a chill ...so I am going for broke. Matthews T5 is leading the pack right now, but I still really don't wanna drop that much on a quiver.
