i'm real exicited and i'm not even going to get to hunt its youth day. my father-in-law, my son & I are going. I feel like x-mas day is coming. who else is taking thier kids hunting on youth day?
I don't know how old your son is but then again it doesn't really matter. Good times for sure. While my 16yo son is not much of a hunter, we have many activities that we enjoy together and they are by far my most memorable moments. Good luck to the three of you.
My buddy and I will be taking my son and his friend out for our youth day. It's not until april 24th. But we are all going down to camp this sat. to build blinds and scout them out. We are planning on going down the night before and showing the boys how to roost them, have a big cook out and eat moose steaks, should be fun. My son is excited and seem to be growing out of his doing opposite of dad phase hes been in for the last couple of years! Man those are rough years on me.
i bet UP i know what you mean. now onto those moose steaks,how do those taste? we aint got no moose in the south just a few people who look like them lol.
I will be taking my younger bro during the WI youth season...Starts April 10th so I have over a week left...I know what you mean when you say its like waiting for Christmas! Good Luck to you!
I'll be taking a kid out on Saturday morning. My Dad always teams up with the NWTF chapter here and takes out a kid in need of somewhere to hunt. The last couple of years we have taken the same kid, and this year his Dad just returned from being deployed over seas, so I'm hoping to make it a memorable time for them.
