Getting pretty pumped for September 28th! Just checked a stand I hung a few weeks ago, def some fresh tracks and sign by my set. Put about 110lbs of corn out, about half was gone (with no sign of coons ). Only reason I returned to this stand was to use my newly bought Hooyman to trim a few branches beside my stand. Me and my buddy are looking to take a buck we call "captain hook" in that area. He has a lot of character with a "hook" coming down off his main beam close to his head, a triple brow on one side, and a crab claw on his other side eye guard. He has a lot of tine length. If I can get a pic on here of him I will. I don't use a trail cam, but buddy has a few pics of him. Cant wait!

Thanks guys. Got some bad news last night. My buddy told me that someone he works with hit a big buck with his car last night, right near this guys core area. Hopefully it's not him, even still it's a shame to loose any mature buck. Guess state highway patrolman came out and shot it. Going to look on my way home today to see if I can find the deer. Not sure if they leave a deer there after they shoot them, or if it's hauled away afterwards.
